From the only video taken for Hurricane Fran from the island of Wrightsville Beach. At 7:30pm, September 4, 1996, the surge of Hurricane Fran finally comes over the dune. This was shot with a Sony from a 7th floor room at the hotel. You will notice the rain water on the glass window. The surge flooded the hotel with 4 inches of salt water.
